In the face of escalating scholarship and operating costs, our reliance on private support increases each year. Annual contributions to the Wooden Athletic Fund play a critical role in funding our athletics program and contribute directly to the success of more than 625 student-athletes. Operation Bruin's ambitious goal to grow our Wooden Athletic Fund donor base by 1,000 new members will not only strengthen the foundation of UCLA Athletics, but will help continue the tradition of Bruin excellence.

Note: The total cost for 2007-08 athletic scholarships was over $7.5 million dollars.

"As a Bruin student-athlete, I learned from and competed against the very best, whether it was in the classroom during the week or playing quarterback on Saturdays at the Rose Bowl. I'm proud of what our football teams accomplished and personally, I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity I was afforded as a scholarship athlete. Now, as a UCLA alum, I'm pleased to support the Wooden Athletic Fund so that our current Bruins have the same opportunity to experience the tradition and success that I enjoyed at UCLA."

- Cade McNown, UCLA Quarterback 1995-98, Wooden Athletic Fund Member
